Περιγραφή:
In June 2005, the academic coordinator of the research group Takis Kayalis and the postdoctoral researcher Anastasia Natsina conducted a research visit at the Open University of Catalunya (UOC) in Barcelona (the web site of the UOC can be accessed here: http://www.uoc.edu/web/eng/index.html). The two representatives of the research group had a series of meetings with Professors Laura Borràs Castanyer (Director of the international research group Hermeneia: Estudis literaris i tecnologies digitals: http://www.uoc.edu/in3/hermeneia/cat/index.html) and Joan Ellies Adell, both of the Department of Humanities and Literature. In the context of this research trip, Takis Kayalis and Anastasia Natsina were given detailed briefings on the organization and structure of courses and the methodology applied for the teaching of literature, on the educational material in use as well as the technological infrastructure of the university. They also had meetings with the Director of the Office for International Relations of the UOC Andreu Bellot, and with Núria Ferran of the UOC Virtual Library; these meetings imparted information on the greater organization, practices and processes of the university. In the context of this research visit, a two-day seminar entitled “Open Distance Learning (ODL) and Literary Studies” took place with the participation of the forementioned colleagues as well as other members of the research group Hermeneia (Roger Canadell, Isabel Moll and others). During the seminar the goals and plans of the two research groups were discussed and elaborated on and a plan to collaborate closely in the immediate future was drawn up. During the visit ample material on literary studies courses at the UOC was gathered; this material is at the disposal of members of the group. Free access to the virtual campus of the university and its educational material has been obtained for a limited period of time so that the research might be completed and that other members of the research group can be informed.

The research trip was publicised on the website of the research group Hermeneia: http://www.uoc.edu/in3/hermeneia/cat/index.html
